Miguel is a Director, Designer, Animator, and Educator whose passion is in Visual Storytelling and Communication Design.
Miguel began working at Imaginary Forces in 2006 and became a Creative Director there in 2011. His background in Computer Engineering, Fine Arts, and Graphic Design, brings a unique combination of disciplines to his process. His devotion to design, animation, storytelling, and creating brand experiences has contributed to an expansive range of work from commercials and interactive content to film and television titles. He enjoys being hands-on from concept to execution on all his projects.
He has taught as an adjunct professor of Motion Design at his alma mater, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena since 2007. He has also presented talks at Siggraph and taught at the Otis College of Art and Design.
In 2015, Miguel founded the Los Angeles-based studio Midnight Sherpa where he continues his work as a Creative Director.
